Chip repair in fiberglass shower

We have a small chip near the drain, in our fiberglass shower. Husband tried an appliance white touch up, but the chip is back! Wondering if white nail polish would work. Suggestions?

@Melissa, you can buy a fiberglass repair kit at L's or HoDe. It has everything in it you'll need. I've done this myself and it looked good as new when I was finished.
