Seabreezn on Oct 08, 2013O' she's a beauty ! Personally , I'd glaze her to give her some depth in all those swirls , curls & shadow spots . Prehaps , replace the mirror with one that has an adged appearance or buy one and scratch the back at differant depths and strokes ........otherwise , a beauty for a black & white matte photograph .?? Good Luck !Helpful Reply

Nancy Robinson on Oct 08, 2013I would make a wall clock out of it and high light the curves as Seabreezn suggested so it has depth. It is so elegant I couldn't let it not shine. It is beautiful carving and if it is just stained, don't add paint to cover up the beauty.Helpful Reply

Allisson Sackfield Werkmeister on Oct 09, 2013agreed on the turquoise paint! I have found a couple of smaller brass ones and hit them with turquoise then gave a little dimension/antique look on top with some brown highlights, pretty fabulous!Helpful Reply

Thrifty Treasures on Oct 09, 2013Chalk boards are fun, or you could frame burlap and stencil a favorite quote, saying, or photo in it. Love that frame. Glad you want to put it to use again!Helpful Reply

Deb Titus on Oct 09, 2013I made a plain frame into a jewelry holder by replacing the picture with a piece of needlepoint canvas. You could paint the canvas, like I did, or leave it white, which would look more elegant in a beautiful frame like this! Then simply add plain curtain hooks to hang necklaces and bracelets and hook 'shepherd hook' type earrings directly into the mesh. I would leave the frames finish as is- beautiful!Helpful Reply

Liliana Wells on Oct 09, 2013This is a beautiful frame. I would replace the mirror. But if you want to paint and replace the mirror, choose a color that would copliment with your decor. Don't go too fancy; the frame is fancy enough by itself.Helpful Reply
