Metal Rolling Cart Makeover

Hello, there!
Remember those metal carts your teacher would roll into class when it was movie / projector time? Well, while browsing on Craisglist I was fortunate to find a metal rolling cart for $15.00. However, it was not until after my purchase that I found out that the prices of these carts can range from $90.00 to $200.00! That's crazy!
The cart I found on Craigslist is called a Pix Mobile. The cart was in good condition, but it was very dirty and had some rust. Nothing that a deep cleaning, Rustoleum anti-rust primer, Dupli Color and love, can't fix. ;) And because the cart will be located in the garage, I decided to spray paint the cart with Valspar's La Fonda Mirage to match the garage entry (mudroom) door.
Before and after of metal rolling cart.
I used Rustoleum anti-rust primer for the cart.
Dirty rubber mat on top of cart, rust, and the Pix Mobile label.
Even though I scrubbed the rubber mat, it was still dull and dingy looking. I used Dupli Color spray paint (for vinyl and fabric) to bring new life to the rubber mat. The mat looks almost brand new.

I have a beige colored metal brown Jordan tea cart and want to refinish it to a pewter/brownish grey color to match my other outside furniture. Where can I have it refinished or how can I do it myself?

WOW! What an amazing difference! You did a terrific job! Also I would like to tell you thanks for making me aware of the Dupli Color spray paint for vinyl and fabric. I did not know that such a thing existed and now I have to find out where I can get some.

*grin* Thank you! Definitely check out Dupli Color@. These paints are actually specially paints that are found in auto stores. There are so many specialty paints that can be found in an auto store. Have fun! :)

What brand and color paint did you use for the cart?

Hi, Angela. The spray paint I bought at Lowes. It is the Valspar brand and the color is called La Fonda Mirage. :) @
