Storing spices on the wall is a great way of freeing up precious cabinet space in a small kitchen. I made my own DIY wall spice rack by using a pizza pan with magnetic spice containers – the colorful spices will also doubles as artwork!
I also made my own magnetic spice containers with store bought spices by simply gluing magnets (from the dollar store) to the bottom of small round spice containers – I used liquid nails glue. For square spice containers, you can glue thin magnetic sheeting material on the back.

Have a question about this project?
Where did you buy the round stainless steel spice containers?
Are there instruction for making a larger magnetic spice rack? 🤔
I am wondering if it wouldn't work to put the magnets on the back of the pizza pan or cookie sheet then you wouldn't have to put them on the individual spices. I am going to check this out with my cookie sheet. I think it will depend on the strength of the magnets. I remember as a child putting a magnet under my paper and moving things around with the magnet so that it looked like it was magic! I think with a bit stronger magnet the same thing can be accomplished with a cookie sheet!
