My 2013 Flowers
by
Buster Evans
(IC: homeowner)
My house (the old home place where I grew up) caught fire last may 2012.. I ended up having to tear the place down due to the extent of the damages.. I was able to get a double wide home in its place.. I moved in in September 2012..
That is an experience I hope none of you have to face.. it is sooo devastating...
But there is an upside to all the destruction and chaos, my flowers..
I developed a love for flowers from my Grandmother (dads mom) and my mom,.. helping her plant and keep here flowers and do the yard work when I was growing up.
As the season draws to a close, I am always a bit saddened by the approaching of winter and the drab dreary days without color etc. though I know it has to happen , I just don't care to see the flowers and trees leave their beautiful spring & summer stages and give way to their dormant stages.
So I took a few pictures to capture the "1st year" in the "New House" to remind myself as things progress just what it was like regrouping , regathering , and regaining, my foothold on "life" after the fire.
There are quite a few photos and I don't know if there is a limit as to how many you can have in a post hopefully you can understand and bear with me as try to organize and present the flowers to you.

Buster Evans on Feb 19, 2014Thank You Suzanne, It was devastating to have a fire, but the return and beauty of the flowers was a great comfort and encouragement to move on.

Gladys on Jun 23, 2014Enjoyed the tour of your beautiful flowers and surroundings. I echo what the others have said about the fire and how you've survived it and brought new life there, from out of the ashes. Wonderful restoration! God bless!
