Douglas Hunt on Oct 15, 2013You could fill a book on the subject. I moved from zone 5 to zone 9 three years ago and I've been re-learning ever since. Remember that Central Florida is not the tropics. It may be hot and humid for a long stretch, but you will definitely have frosts in zone 8. My garden is about 70 percent Florida natives, because they've developed to deal with the challenges of our climate, with the rest being "Florida Friendly" plants. This website is a good place to start: http://www.floridayards.org/index.phpHelpful Reply
