DIY Newspaper Framed Mirror
Old newspapers can be turned into baskets or picture frames. Here are 2 of my favorites. The strawberry is on top of my "to do" list.

Make Paper Mache items,
News papers makes great drain areas for fried food and easy to fold up an discard. I use them on my craft table to catch glue, paint and glitter and again easy to throw away. They are great craft project for kids (if you have any handy) fold and cut paper dolls, snow flakes. etc A long triangle piece rolled around a nail and glued down makes a great bead. The colored areas of the paper/mag for colored beads (kids love these) Big beads or little beads depending on how you cut the triangle.
I think they can be shredded and composted
Call your local grade school! The art teachers are desperate for newspapers for paper mache projects. I send them in weekly.
If you're a beauty junkie, try newspaper nails!
Animal shelters can always put to GOOD use scraps of carpet and newpapers. or even a vet.
wallpaper your bathroom and put waterproof clear coat, never without reading material, also could use a small wall area where the kids sit or play. kids can learn some reading and spelling by seeing them daily.
So if you have 'tons' of paper around, it is 1. fire hazard. 2. beds for cockroaches. 3. housing for mice. Get rid of as much as you can ASAP> There are many crafty ideas here, and best is teachers love magazines for the pictures to inspire kids., SPCA can always use help.
I usually put paper in the school recycling bins. It is a fund raiser for them.
You could always shred them and put a little water over it then press them into small solid squares then dry them out in the Sun and use them in your fire/ log burner if you have one they make great fire starters..
Like the other lady, give them to your local vet or dog shelter.
Decoupage them onto a table.
I'm thinking maybe 'wallpapering' a den or living room wall to create a focal wall. Or maybe a kitchen wall near the table. How about a bathroom wall? That would be ironically interesting and awesome. :) Furniture can be decoupaged with newspaper. OR just donate them to an animal shelter or school.
I use them under the mulch in my garden to supress weeds And conserve moisture
Get rid of them...........great fire hazard!
If your locale is blessed with a recycling center, contact it for information on current price paid per pound for the type(s) of paper you have. After checking, if you deem it's worth the gas/your time, then box/bag up your holdings, drop them off, and walk away with some $$ in your pocket. My local company (Clayton Ward) currently pays a penny a pound each for newsprint (old newspapers), office paper scraps (junk mail inserts and adverts, junk mail envelopes), and magazines/catalogs. Doing this with my paper clutter, have averaged about $5 per quarter for the last few years.
Donate them to an animal shelter
