Soda Bottle Puggy Bank

When I saw Martha Stewart's Soda Bottle Piggy Bank project last year, it went down on my "Things to make" list. Somewhere in between then and now, this re-purposed soda bottle project turned itself into a pug from a pig.
The best part of all was being able to take part in the Hometalk Thrift Benefit for Sheltered Animals blog tour and being able to donate several of these puggy banks to my local animal shelter for re-sale.
Soda Bottle Puggy Bank
Lots of masking tape and newspaper to make a tail.
Fashioning old thread spools for the legs. Card board ears.
Using the bottom of a soda bottle to mirror the mug of a pug
And after plenty of paper mache some decoupage, paint and craft paper.
Adding an opening on the top and for the cork underneath. It becomes a bank.
