Michelle Wigman Nason on Oct 17, 2013Have you tried placing a bird feeder on the window. Sometimes that helps them see something before they hit the window. Or you could try suction cups with some suncatchers. I have a large tree just outside my window in the back and I don't have crashes happening at all. Mostly have to deal with lots of poop all over our patio set. Which is another question that I don't think could be solved by any other means other then relocating the tree. LOLHelpful Reply

Keller Pest Control on Oct 18, 2013You sometimes can tie ribbons on a long nail or crew above the windows and the movement may help but to protect the window, and a screen if possible may help protect the window. You need to ensure they do not reflect the birds image, Birds are not trying to fly into the window since that's where you live that obviously would be unnatural for them They probably see their own image What type of bird is it ? Some birds are aggressive to their own reflection thinking its a competitor to its territory (woodpecker blue-jay cardinal and some others) If that's the case you can put a mirror away from the window to deter them from the main windows. And limit or remove reflective coverings on window. Otherwise remove the trees but that's a little extreme.Helpful Reply
