Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Oct 18, 2013I would assume you can purchase galvanized poles or aluminum poles at most fence supply stores. If your not needing any real strength, perhaps just purchase a PVC pipe and drill holes for the rope to run through. Then use a plastic cap on top to finish it off. The PVC can be purchased at all plumbing or big box stores. I would use a 4 inch pipe. Once you drill the rope holes and cement it into the ground. Be sure to drill a few small weep holes near the ground to let out any water that may leak in where the rope is entering. Or if the pipe fills with water it could freeze and crack in the winter.Helpful Reply
