Tip for Sewing Cushions With Piping

I have a regular old sewing machine and use a zipper foot to sew cushions with piping. My problem was my corners never seemed to line up. My cushions came out a little shall we say tweaked. I used tons of pins, made accurate cuts and even made the little triangular cuts to line everything up. Still a my machine pulled and stretches the fabric enough to throw everything off. I read this tip a few times while I searched for ways to fix my problem. Use staples instead of pins. Finally I bought a stapler and tried it. It makes a huge difference plus it's faster than pinning.
