Rae on Nov 21, 2016Hopefully there is not too much height difference between the two and if the carpet was there first you may have to pull up the carpet and run a bit of the pergo under the carpet using as William said a transition piece to level all out. I would if at all possible avoid the aluminum strip. It will be not as pleasant of a transition and when you sweep many times the finish will wear off. I had one in my dining/kitchen and when it came to new flooring I refused to have another installed.Helpful Reply
