Perhaps stuff that drawer with crumpled up black and white newspaper, or a dish of fresh coffee grounds. And keep changing those out until the smell is gone. You might also want to check with whoever you got the cupboard from to see what the heck might have come in contact with them. That type of smell is unusual especially in a kitchen cabinet, I'm thinking.

maybe put paper on bottom, then lay charcoal to absorb the odor, also works in socks in smelly shoes, lol

My biggest successes, removing odor from wood, has always been charcoal! it's certainly not the speediest method, but it's never failed me. Make sure it's plain charcoal (not the stuff with the starter already in it!). Depending on the application size, I've used 1-2 briquettes in a small Ziploc, strictly to avoid the charcoal "mess." Good luck!

Are these brand new and is the stink a "finish" or varnish type smell? I recently help a client with some brand new bookcases...they had an oil like finish smell. many wood finishes take some time to "fully" cure and become completely smell free. This condition depends on the origin of the cabinets.

white vinegar, never fails me, cat peed and other offensive smells go away. Take the drawers out, empty and spray 100% do not delete all over, undersides everywhere. Let it dry and repeat if necessary OR lightly sand and put 2 coats of Polly, everywhere.
