Summer was rough:( Here in Central Texas we've had harsh water restrictions due to prolonged drought conditions...and extremely hot days (temps over 100 are the norm around here) While I do have a 250 gal. rain barrel, it did not rain much and I had to use water very sparingly. On top of that, I have been struggling with an invasive ant and other garden pests. I have been very diligent about organic gardening, relying on beneficial bugs to do the trick, but that didn't work out so well:( I was able to harvest bell peppers, tomatoes, a few cucumbers and squash, and the herbs did well... For some reason, my cantaloupe, honey dew and watermelon flopped... Still a work in progress. I cleared out the summer vegetation and added compost and other nutrients to the soil before planting for the fall though; Carrots, beets, spinach, leeks, green beans, 2 types of lettuce, radishes, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, swiss chard, and asparagus all freshly planted and sprouting well:) I'd say I had much better luck with flowers over the summer - and the fall flowers are doing great! I am a patient person and I know that this fall will be a successful growing season.

That is a beautiful blue morning glory, I bought some seeds but never got it to grow, I have in purple, and light and deep pink they just starting growing this summer, your garden looks amusing
