How to Make Your Towels Smell Fresh and Clean

Easy
Towels that end up on the floor after each use, folded before it's dry or left in a humid environment (aka the washer) will start to smell. With these easy tips, you can get rid of the mildew smell in your towels and keep them smelling fresh and clean.
1. Add baking soda to the washer.
2. Use vinegar as a fabric softener.
3. Hang towels over a bar, not a hook.
4. Ensure dryness before folding.
5. Clean your washer.
Just doing the first two will usually get the smell out, but it may take a few washes depending on how bad the stink is. For a more detailed post, check out the blog.

"Miss Claire" on Aug 22, 2016I hang my bath towels on a SKIRT HANGER after I use them. They dry thoroughly and I hang the skirt hanger from the shower curtain rod.

Put a few drops of tea tree oil in with the wash also helps with sourness and any mold.
