This shower wall porcelain tile looks more expensive because it was laid vertically instead of horizontally. The granite top was a remnant from the "bone pile" that the clients picked out from the fabricator's scraps. It cost them a third of what a normal top would cost.

Visually overpowering. Maybe its the dark grout.

Looks good! I like that the side walls are neutral, so the shower is like an accent wall.
