Autumn Garden Accents ~ Inside and Out!

by Barb Rosen
Leaves are drifting down, crunching under our feet as we pull our sweaters close for a mid-morning Fall walk outside. The wispy scent of wood smoke in the air from a neighbor’s fireplace is yet another autumn confirmation. Flowers are a sweet memory as I collect their dried remnants for filling the window boxes. Pine cones, bittersweet and gourds are added to the mix as I decorate the outside of our home for fall.
After finishing up outdoors, I slip back into the house to a hot bowl of homemade chicken-vegetable soup from the crock pot to warm me up. Just what I needed! The steaming soup tastes delicious and makes the kitchen smell so homey. Come see the autumn garden accents inside and outside Our Fairfield Home and Garden!
