How do I keep bottle labels from weathering outdoors?

I made citronella candles out of liquor bottles. Many have paper labels I'd like to preserve and keep them from weathering. Do I just top coat them with a good outdoor clear spray?

Krylon has a UV-resistant clear acrylic spray that should work.

You could use clear contact paper, it sticks to everything well.

How about trying decoupage medium on the labels?

I use Beacon Fast Finish Decoupage the spray with a clear spray, make sure you cover the outside edges . This keeps the labels from fading and peeling off.

I would give the labels a light coating of clear spray acrylic available at hardware stores, Lowe's etc. where ever paint is sold.

The clear acrylic spray is available at Walmart, Lowe's, anywhere paint is sold. I even spray my bird houses tho I have used regular paint, helps keep the colors bright longer
