My Bathroom in Progress

We put this bathroom in about 20 years ago, and the fixtures are still useable, although a steam shower and new vanity are on my wish list. The yellow walls had to go! The light fixture was very dated as were the cabinets.
We had re used the cabinets from our kitchen remodel a few years ago (a base cabinet and two wall cabinets). No money right now for replacing the sink cabinet, but, new paint and inexpensive hardware improved it considerably (for now). Next will be a new floor. So our bare bones expenses were for paint (a gallon for the walls, a quart for the cabinets), some clearance hardware, a light fixture I purchased online for less than fifty dollars, two on-sale cotton shower curtains I bought online (one for the window, one for the shower), a cellular shade, a new shower rod (curved). I bought things one at a time, mostly online, the rest at a local discount store. The new mirror was a gift from my youngest daughter - she hated the old one and promised a new one if we got rid of the old one (which I donated, so no before picture of the old one). We still want to put some trim and moldings in, but, I now like this bathroom so much better! Sorry I'm not a better photographer, but, I'm proud of our results so far!
One of the old cabinets we reused in the bathroom. We had painted the walls, and the cabinets just didn't look that great.
The light fixture had to go!
I finally had the bright idea to take the cabinet doors off and paint the cabinets. Rolled towels now live here.
Before........After was a cellular shade with a drape I made from a cotton shower curtain and a pretty new rod.
A wall cabinet gets a new life. Yes, I could have staged it better/prettier, but, this is how we really use it.
Another wall cabinet gained a new life without doors and a couple of fresh coats of paint. The storage baskets and glass canisters keep things tidy. None were expensive. I labeled the baskets with a pretty font from my computer .
A pretty new light fixture and mirror made a huge difference.
This is one thing I continued to use from my old bathroom decor - I love the cute hanger and baskets.
A cellular shade and cotton shower curtain (I attached clips I purchased to the curtain) dress up the window and lighten things up..
We still have moldings to install as well as a few trim pieces. I love the curved shower rod as it makes the shower much roomier.
