My mother bought this cabinet for me for $8. I loved the front and the fact that somebody had already put shelves in it! I turned it into a reading area storage for my bedroom.

Lined with decorative Contact Paper. I love using the contact paper for refinishing because you can move and remove it easily.
Door with the same contact paper and green metallic accent paint I got at Menards.
I bought the paint first and lucked into matching paper while looking for white that I could stencil.
Reading area. Every piece of furniture in this area I was given as a gift or bought for a steal. The rocker was three dollars and became my first recovering project!

I really like this redo. This looks like it might have been an old radio cabinet or speaker. This style would fit into my plan for redoing my bedroom. thanks for sharing and kudos on your make-over.
