New Lights in the Kitchen

The 2 Seasons
by The 2 Seasons
Since we moved into our home one year ago, we have been make updates in the kitchen. Our house was 10 years old when we moved in, and it was fine. However, we really wanted a kitchen that was brighter and suited our tastes better. We painted the cabinets and the back splash and recently added new lights over the island.
The new lights are hanging pendant lights that are a hammered metal. They don't have a distinct style like contemporary or traditional. They would probably fit into any style decor.
The old lights were smaller and more of a craftsman style. We want something with a little more shine to them.
We replaced the original three with three new ones that I was lucky enough to find out HomeGoods. It took quite a while for my husband to install just the first one, and so, we decided to hire an electrician for the remaining two. He also struggled with the installation, but once they were in, we were happy with the results.
Here's a closeup.
This is what the kitchen looked like when we moved in. Slowly we are making it our own. Please visit our blog for more photos: http://the2seasons.com/2016/11/06/new-kitchen-lights/

Love the one in the center. I think it's because the electric wire is tight where it is loose on the other 2 lamps. But, the style looks great with your upgraded kitchen. Congratulations on the results. And, I believe in hiring professionals for electrical and plumbing work. They can save you from injury and major repair bills.
