With fall and winter fast approaching, I desired to change out the look of my front entry.
Removing summer influences (along my beloved garden themed mini crate desk... gasp), woodsy touches became the star of this revamp!
Gathering up crates, baskets, old signs, and old wood to create a new mini writing station, this is how it turned out!
Now... what to add for Christmas... stay tuned! :)

Happy fall, and soon to be winter!
This Garden themed crate / hidden writing desk was so useful and cute, but set the theme to summer in the front entry. So it was time to change that with something equally as useful and cute.
These fence planks I had in my stash would prove to be perfect!
Cutting two planks down to size, and using a few pipe fittings, this cool shelf idea was dry fitted together. Would it work?!
After removing the crate desk, and adding more storage to the ladder, the shelf / new mini desk was then mounted into place.
To install, the first plank was screwed to the wall as shown. Then the pipe fittings were screwed in after that. Easy!
For coat hangers along the walls, old signs were made using various Old Sign Stencils (from my own line).
