I have a black granite composite sink and there is a white film all over it that I cannot get off.??

Simple green and follow directions.
I purchased a home with a good layer of soot on the brickwork above the firebox and used TSP (trisodium phosphate) dissolved in water per the packaging instructions. You'll need a towel or sheet to catch the drip and a scrub brush. I got everything I needed at the hardware store. Also make sure to wear some gloves. It worked wonderfully. Best of luck to you!
