Right now there is tacked down linoleum and is tearing and rolled up at edges. Don't want to call someone to do it as it will cost enough money. Any idea's??

Paint the floor. They make special paint for this purpose in different colors and designs. It's amazing how the flaws just blend in. My son did this to the floor in a old house he was in. Then, after he build a new house, did the same thing to the floor in the basement that he is using as a family room. It looks great and is easy to keep with two activity boys.

I agree with Pam, if this is a concrete floor and the linoleum is only 'tacked down' remove and paint. There are so many cool ideas and patterns you can do. Then you can always lay a rug where you need a 'soft spot'.
