Linda Stone on Nov 03, 2013My Granddaughter just showed me a great idea on youtube. Cut any shape - I am going to cut out snowflakes so they can be used throughout Winter, not just for Christmas - out of paper that has a sticky side. Shelf liner paper will work or I will use vinyl using my Silhouette cutting machine. Adhere the sticky side to the inside of your vase. Be sure to press firmly. Use spray adhesive and spray inside thoroughly. Add any color of glitter you like. Shake around to cover entire vase and pour out excess. When dry, peel off your stickers. Add glass gems to bottom of your vase and a battery-operated tea light. They turn out really pretty. I am thinking about adding the sticky cut outs on the outside and then painting with Mod Podge and paint on the outside. Either way will work nicely. Then you can see your light through the opening left by your stickers.Helpful Reply

Terri on Nov 04, 2013I like to layer different candies to create a pretty effect. For example red hots on bottom, then green gum balls, and then maybe silver kisses. Then you can put a pretty, yet small sparkly branch foliage.Helpful Reply

Diane Woods on Nov 04, 2013Rosi, if you find another glass vase/candle just a little smaller than this one to put inside, that gives you the opportunity to fill the space in between the vases. I have a hurricane lamp I use like this and put candy hearts for valentines day, acorns in the fall, cranberries at Christmas, etc.Helpful Reply
