Stair Makeover!
I am an "oak" hater...there I said it ;) Enter paint on the railing and base and a white refresher on the spindles. Much better.

Positively gorgeous! It's not oak itself I dislike it's that orangey stain that is used SO much! Oak overload!! In our area I think there's a formula that goes Oak = good = god! LOL!

I hate oak also. You did an excellent job. I also love the shelves under the stairs.
