Shabby Old Oak Tool Box Actually a Treasure Chest

I purchased an unimpressive looking oak tool box with a mismatched door and missing knobs. It was dirty and disheveled--tools a jumble inside. It turned out to be a treasure trove of some of the finest measurement and layout tools ever made. They date back to the 1880's and span the better part of a century. They are obviously well used, but so well made they are in good condition after many decades of service. Most of these tools are useful to me in my woodworking and carpentry business, so I'm glad I didn't overlook that dingy old box.

I'm thankful you got it! Im sure the previous owner would be thankful it went to someone who appreciates and will care for it in the way they had. It's awesome find and I hope you're able to enjoy it for rest of your woodworking journey! Blessings
