Do you have to wax after using chalk paint on kitchen cabinets?
-
Antisveta on Nov 18, 2016Yes, you do have to wax them, otherwise the paint won't be waterproof (though it's never going to be completely waterproof, and might need some re-waxing later). But I so understand your doubts as it looks so matt without waxing...Helpful Reply

Upstater on Nov 19, 2016You can use polyurethane. I use the water based formula, Satin finish. Very durable.Helpful Reply

Debi53 on Nov 20, 2016If you wax the cabinets, they will be difficult to clean. Use a non-yellowing polyurethane to seal them and make them washable.Helpful Reply
