The best way I found to get rid of pet urine smell is to wash the spot with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and dawn dish soap. Hopefully this helps you.

You can also try Natures Miracle available in Pet stores.

For pet stains and odors you will need an enzymatic cleaner from the pet store. Natures Miracle, like Janet says, is top of the line. Anything else would be a coverup. Hydrogen peroxide is a bleaching agent, slightly stronger than bleach. Be careful on fabrics.

I have used plain old white vinegar and water. It does the trick.
