Painting my home

I retired to Florida from Illinois two years ago and am finally ready to paint my boring contractor neutral colors to more tropical colors. But want to start with "conservative" tropical colors. Maybe some sea/ocean pastels. Any suggestion?

Behr.com or Sherman Williams they have paint inspirations to get an idea of what you may like .Once you have chosen color schemes get color samples and test on pieces of paper on your walls. Keep in mind when choosing colors take into consideration the amount of lighting,your furniture colors and accessories.

, bathrooms and accents.I too moved to Florida from Illinois this year. Welcome! I love the pale blue-greens, pale blues and blue grays, and shell pinks. As another person said, the amount of light makes a lot of difference. I took my time and used the small sample pots available now. My main color is an off white. I used the colors for bedrooms. A little pale yellow can be pretty, too. Some of these colors can just be on accents - pillows, chair seats, etc.
