Much Needed Storage for Craft Studio

We recently moved into a house where I am fortunate enough to have a large portion of the basement as my craft studio. While attempting to put away all of my supplies I was left with no place for my doily collection, my vintage hats and shoes and purses along with my tea cups and saucers. I wanted to keep all of these vintage items together. I managed to find a china cabinet/hutch at our local Salvation Army store. It was rather beat up in spots but for just $50.00 I brought it home. A bit of sanding and a couple of coats of paint and it became the perfect place to house my vintage goodies. See the whole thing on my blog. http://cardsbymarianne.blogspot.ca/2013/10/trash-to-treasure-hutch.html

I think husbands need to really understand the power of Happy Wife = Happy Life. It's not just words. I think mine just thinks that if I have my own personal little world I will stay out of his. LOL And he's right, I could care less what he watches on tv now because I'm busy creating in my craft room. LOL

You've given me courage to paint mine now. I think it's beautiful. We also updated our 70's style paneled cottage by painting the walls a creamy beige throughout. It brightened the entire house!

@Robin S Thanks Robin. We've got paneling down in our basement as well. I was thinking the same thing; that we need to paint it a lighter colour. Good luck with your project if you haven't done it yet. If you have, post a picture or two! I'd love to see it.
