They are used only in the molds for craft embellishment projects.
They make glitter glue sticks. I have seen the small ones at Dollar Tree. The bigger ones can be picked up at a hobby store. I haven't looked for them on amazon but it would surprise me if they didn't sell them.
I had several pounds that I just put into an auction. (glitter glue sticks) They can be melted in a glue pot or put through a glue gun that takes oval sticks. Let me know and if they do not sell!!!! I'll let you know.
But remember all the sticks can be melted in a glue pot for more diverse uses.
Happy crafting
Thats true. I just really like the convenience of the glue gun.
Thanks and Happy Holidays
It is an "old time" devise for melting glue. It originally was used by floral shops. I would kinda look like an ashtray or a small electric skillet with an electrical cord. Hot melt glue was put into it and a flower stem would be dipped into the hot blue before inserting into the styro. It works with the glue sticks also. I use mine from time to time but it is not on my most used tool list. I did a search and it popped up. I have several but I could not tell you where they are. I too have 75 years of experience . I think were are sisters.
