BIRD ID NEEDED
I posted a different image of him/her on some "birding" venues (including Cornell @ ihttps://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=576253685757342&set=o.142914269087072&type=1) in the hopes of receiving help ID-ing my new friend but if I don't get a response, can anyone help me with this bird's ID?

Lorah Marquardt on Nov 16, 2013My best guess is juvenile male Baltimore Oriole. He's a bit further north than I would expect for this time of year but there are many factors (weather and health, for example) that can cause an individual bird to be outside the normal range of the species.Helpful Reply

Linda Smith on Nov 16, 2013It looks like the picture in my Audubon Field Guide of the Northern Bullock's Oriole, cousin of the Baltimore oriole, and they live all over the US, Canada and Mexico.Helpful Reply

Brenda Veazey on Nov 16, 2013It looks like a female American Goldfinch. We rescued one years ago...she had a boyfriend that would come and visit her. When she'd healed well enough, we released her.Helpful Reply
