These bled on wood as you discovered. Paint will work better.
Not in a pen form.
There are several different brand of paint pens out there but I've never tried them. Usually I used a very small paintbrush with acrylic paint or my trusty fine point Sharpies. They come in so many different colors now, it's great!!

Yep, no excuse needed.... Yuk,yuk . I'm a former New Yorker! I'm in New Mexico and 72 degrees today.
Tomorrow same temps for a bit. No white Christmas here just dirt!

I use Painters brand paint pens from Walmart on wood all the time. They are oil based and don't seem to bleed.
Deco-color paint markers are my go to.They are oil based. I use them all the time and they never bled.
Ooh I've never seen those! Are they oil or water base paint?
Maybe seal the wood first next time? My Mother (the crafter) used to put clear nail polish on wood first but now we have all these creat acrylic coating and sealing products I think I'd try- on scrap wood first)
Anyone know how to get these out of clothes..?
