Has anyone ever stenciled a floor?

I'm thinking about stenciling the floor in my kitchen. It's stone tile and takes a lot of wear and tear. What sort of coatings (hopefully low emission) should I be thinking about? Also anyone else ever do this? I loved to here tips and see some pictures for inspiration.

The site given does not cover stone tile. It covers linoleum, bare concrete, or wooden flooring. The tile is baked in an oven to seal the tile and paint, stain or other adhesive products will at first stick but can not adhere to it enough to perevent it from flaking off with time and wear. It's best to remove the tile, sand smooth the floor and get all holes, cracks, and nicks covered. Then sand it smooth, and then stencil it or paint it using the ideas presented by William. You can paint or stencil over tile, but you will not like it in the long run.

I'm thinking of painting the whole floor with a primer first, I've seen pictures online of people that did that successfully.

Many years ago I stenciled around the whole edge of my basement floor. I used craft paints I think...and a floral stencil. After I finished doing the whole border, I used clear urethane on top. It's been there for almost 25 years...the only thing now is...the urethane has yellowed a bit. My stenciling was done on a cement floor. Good luck in giving this a try. If it doesn't work out for you...just paint over it by using deck and dory paint..or some type of floor paint.
