Removing shutters from house
-
Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Nov 29, 2013Shutters are secured in many ways. Some use simple screws and others use fancy brackets. Most use screws. There should be buttons on the face of the shutter if they are plastic. Simply using a small screw driver pry them out and expose the screw heads. Then using the screwdriver back them out. If your wanting to remove the hinges and brackets that hold them into place, you may need to do some scraping of the surface to expose any screws or nails that were used to hold the hardware onto the shutter or wall surface. If they are old, there could be many layers of paint that will need to be removed in order to expose them.Helpful Reply
