No they all work. I have never worn nail varnish in my life and I was 63 (cringe) last Friday. One really great thing is when you make your marble, do not use too much nail polish, and try with those pearl type colours. Then dip the bottom and half the sides or more if you wish with a plain white mug. The results are beautiful. How ever you cannot put them in the dish washer, only hand wash.
