DIY Corner Storage Beds

We needed two beds, but lots of storage - I used some modified plans from Ana White to recreate some beds I had seen at Pottery Barn (for like $2,500) - mine only cost $100 for supplies.
Steps:
We made the bottom of the beds based off of the storage bed plan from Ana White
Once those were completed I created a footboard design to hide the storage space in the middle - the mattresses are reinforced with slats in the middle.
I built a large box frame for the middle storage table - it is the same width of the beds and serves as storage as well as a headboard.
The top of this box has a hinged top, which allows us to use it as a HUGE toy box
Finally - all of it turned white ;) - with the help of a lot of paint

Those are a great space saving and storage combination! Thanks for another great idea! That's one we're definitely going to use for our cottage.

GREAT JOB! On TV one time, I saw a beach house where they built in a regular size bed and left it open underneath with particians...that is where the skis were stored! Large baskets in other spaces. This would be great for all that sports stuff and backpacks kids have!

@Polly Zieper You could use a bed skirt to hide all that if it was things you didn't use often.

I love this idea!!!I wonder if I could buy something similar to your under-bed storage unit, to save time from doing that that step--any ideas, anyone?

Polly... I found a site that had taken old dresser drawers and put short legs with wheels on them. It was great for under the bed storage. It looked neat and everything was tucked away.
