REFINISHING MY GRANDMOTHER'S ANTIQUE CORNER CHAIR
by
Sue G
(IC: homeowner)
This old chair was in my grandmother's house until she passed away, then went to my mom's house until mom joined grandma, and then came to me about 10 years ago. It was in terrible condition, painted white. I took off most of the white paint and started sanding it. Life got too busy and a neighborhood lady stepped in and finished it for me. She finished sanding, treated the very dry wood, stained it and covered the cushion I provided with fabric that I chose. The difference is AMAZING! I have designed the colors of my dining room and living room around the colors in this fabric. Those rooms will be done soon.

Marion Nesbitt on May 31, 2014Excellent! So nice to see furniture brought back to its original beauty instead of just being painted.
