shop local....ask around at the commercial grower's tree farm. some landscaping companies will also draw up plans, and you can use their stock, or purchase else where. right plant, right location- no future headaches. the local extension office can give you a list of trees that you should not plant - the invasive take over the whole state in one season trees. my uncle the arborist has firmly planted that in my thick skull, along with "just remember this- the canopy you see? the root system is 3 time that size." you can save some $ by taking a piece of graph and plotting out existing landscaping youself and then consulting an expert.
