SAVE YOUR CEREAL BOXES!
Check out this creative way to re-purpose your cereal box! The cardboard is the perfect thickness for these stars.
Not only are these stars cute and make an adorable star garland, but they are SIMPLE to make!
Start with a star template; I initially got my star template here (http://greylustergirl.com/3d-cardboard-star-template/) by Grey Luster Girl.
After I traced a few stars this size (the largest one you see, which is about 7 1/2 inches), I cut the pattern down and traced more. I did this several times so I'd have different sizes. My smallest star is just under 4 inches.
After my stars had taken shape, I spray painted them! I used a a Krylon brushed metallic spray paint in a color called Carmel Latte.
To string them, you can either use a small hole punch or puncture the stars with something sharp. Then thread a string or small rope through it.
There you have it... a star garland banner for any holiday or occasion, and it's easy to make {and did I mention nearly free?}!
