Thank you I will try it. Any help appreciated.
Vinegar with a squirt of dish soap to reduce surface tension.. Works miracles.
Take a throw-away plastic container, put vinegar or a little wine (about 1/4 in. deep), cover with plastic wrap, secure with a rubber band. Then take a toothpick and make about 5 or 6 tiny holes in it. They get in and drown. Works well for me!
After throwing out the fruit, try putting some drain cleaner in your kitchen drain. Follow instructions on drain cleaner. Sometimes fruit flys like to use the nearest drain for laying eggs and making more fruit flies. The ideas using vinegar or lemon juice work great also. I began washing fruit and vegetables with vinegar solution years ago because the flys were already in egg form when I purchased the fruit. The green fruit & vegetable bags work very well, both in the refrigator and if fruit is left out. Many times it is so much cheaper to purchase in larger quantities and by using these green bags it preserves the fruit longer.
Thank you. I need all the help I can get. One bag of garbage neglected to get itself in the garbage can!!!
I let them grow so my cats can hunt and eat them. Sound gross, but so much fun for the kitties. Plus the added protein in their diets!
