It's been a long time coming, but I've finally tackled my outdated basement bar! I know many of you Hometalker's hate painted wood. But let me tell you, this was paneling. It's not nice wood, so please go easy on me :)
Full details are on the blog. Here are a few snippets!

The before. Better than nothing, but not my style AT ALL.
I used Stix Primer and Benjamin Moore Advance paint in White Dove, satin finish. Look at the tile, it is sooo bad. What to do?!
Next, I added brick paneling from Lowe's. They come in 4x8 sheets for around $25. Home Depot has paneling too, but is more of a pink color in my opinion.
I made my own chalk paint with Plaster of Paris and the cabinet paint. (Probably could've just used regular paint)
I painted the tile! I used STIX primer, which says is good to use on tile, and then a Behr Marquee color called Peppery. I put 7 coats of a semi-gloss polycrylic on it.
Made floating shelves (details on the blog)
Added hardware from Lowe's (details on how to add hardware on the blog)
Added decor from Target.
