How can I paint my bathroom tile? Help me go from blue to white!

My townhouse was built in 1985 and the 1/2 bath has a shower and the tile in the shower is turquoise and I want to know if there is a way that tile can be painted rather than having to replace it. I would like to paint it white or a neutral color.

How to PAINT TILE
Please, do it the easy and beautiful way. I called a "tile glazing" company. In Tampa it is Absolute Tub and Tile. He took my retro all PINK bath tub and surrounding tile to a beautiful and sparkling white. I love it.... Took him two days. He scoured down the tub and tile, next day he glazed it. You will be so happy you didnt try to tackle it yourself.
Thank you for your reply. Was that an expensive cost? I really want to do my 1/2 bath but I don't want to spend a fortune because there are other things that I want to do in the house, also.
