Pam Breen on Dec 02, 2013since its a Dining room table, I would use several coats of Polycrylic on it...it needs to be very washable....if you want it very shiny, sand lightly between each coat....I'm doing mine now too :)Helpful Reply

Lynn Crider on Dec 02, 2013i would use satin polyurethane and definitely lightly sand with very fine sand paper between each coat. I just did a dining room table and put on 4 coats of poly. Plan on it lasting a long timeHelpful Reply

Andria on Dec 03, 2013I believe I will be using the polyurethane or Polycrylic. I haven't sanded between coats. I will be sanding in the end, because I am sanding some of the paint off. :)Helpful Reply
