Upcycled Wood Spool Turned Christmas Tree

With an awesome son in law keeping an eye out for junk that I can repurpose, I have several big old wood spools he has dropped off. But what to make with them? It's the holiday season so first the top of one spool was recycled into a rustic Christmas tree. The whole thing is made from wood from the spool, with a reused tin star, old bed spring, and some glass bottle toppers. See more photos and the details at http://www.bliss-ranch.com

The spool boards were used to make the tree stand.
