Douglas Hunt on Dec 03, 2013You should thank the homeowner who left you your oakleafs, which are surely among our most spectacular native shrubs. I've read conflicting information about pruning time for them, but you certainly cannot go wrong with doing any pruning that is necessary immediately after bloom. Do not remove more than one-third of the stems, and certainly do not cut to the ground.Helpful Reply

Diana F on Dec 03, 2013Good morning Douglas. Yes, the folks who built this home had some professional landscaping done and for the most part, I love it. The oak leak hydrengeas can be found at many homes in our young subdivision. Thanks for the advice.Helpful Reply
