We have bought a door to hang. We got a planer and sized down the door only to find it has that corrugated cardboard in the middle. So we have no idea how to sort this side of the door out to put the hinges on it cuz they won't hold onto cardboard.... What can we do?
Thank you.

Hi Amanda! This sounds like a tricky problem. The first thing I thought of was that you can still use the door in a barn door style like this -http://www.hometalk.com/diy/windows-doors/doors/sliding-faux-barn-door-26346554

Then only one side of the door would usually be exposed, and the hinges only need to be screwed into one side.

    Good Luck!

AAAH! A hollow core door =:( What I have done many times to make a hollow core door usable. Measure the inside thickness of the door. Take a 2X4, cut a strip equal to the inside thickness of the door, apply construction adhesive to the board. Slip it into the door (some glue will seep out), use a few small finish nails to hold the board in. Let the glue cure.
