I was able to reclad my trash compactor in REAL STAINLESS STEEL by making a perfect cardboard dummy, showing precise folds & drill holes, and bringing it in to a local sheet-metal guy. For $65, & in a half an hour, he made a cover I could put over the old one & just screw right in. I detailed the top to match into my counters. Maybe this could work for you.

I recently bought a home with a new WHITE Bosch dishwasher and I was able to convert every part of it (Needed to replace the controls and control panel too) to go all stainless steel for about $120. If you only need the panel, it would be much cheaper.....http://www.appliancepartspros.com/ I use this company to change out my dishwasher color. Inexpensive and really good customer service/help.
