How can I fix this smelly carpet?

My line to the toilet just busted and flooded my carpet in half my room and hallway how do I get the funky dirty smell out of it? Thank you!

Sorry for the bad luck! The best solution I have found has been a simple solution of water and ammonia. Ammonia cleans by breaking down proteins found in the dirty water (urine, feces, blood), deodorizes and doesn't leave a filmy residue. Follow the directions on (household) ammonia found at any grocery store. I usually buy the non-sudsing lemon scented! Good luck.
